Casa Granda

The Casa Granda/Imperial Complex is made up of these two four-star hotels, both of which offer panoramic views of Santiago de Cuba from rooftop viewpoints located in the heart of the city. The hotels stand out for their architectural style, which have identifying traits of Santiago de Cuba’s eclecticism style. They are surrounded by important buildings such as the Metropolitan Cathedral and the House of Poetry.

The complex is 7 km from Santiago Maceo Airport and its location in the city centre makes it easy to walk to monuments and emblematic areas such as the Carnival Museum or the Museum of Cuban History. Its location makes it perfect for a cultural visit, but also for congresses and business meetings. For a day on the beach, you can choose between Aguadores beach,  6 km away; La Estrella beach, 7 km away or Siboney beach, 14 km away.

At the Casa Granda Hotel, founded in 1914, guests can choose to stay in any  of its 58 rooms. All have air conditioning, telephone, cable or satellite TV, safe, minibar and hair dryer. You can choose between:

– Double: There are 41 rooms for two people in this category.

– Single: There are 14 rooms for single occupancy, also with double bed, in this category.

– Junior Suite: three rooms have extra amenities and a larger area than the rest.

– For the disabled: one room is adapted for people with reduced mobility.

In addition, 21 of the rooms offer views of the famous Cespedes Park. 

The rooms at the Imperial have undergone remodelling, creating spaces that are visually more modern and spacious. Guests can choose from 39 rooms, distributed over three floors. The options are:

– Standard: 36 rooms correspond to this category. All are equipped with television with LED system, ironing board, safe and minibar, in addition to a suitable air conditioning system.

–Twin: one room belongs to this category. It provides all the comforts of the standard room, but with two single beds.

–Matrimonial: the hotel also has one room of this category. Ideal if you are travelling as a couple.

–For the disabled: one room is equipped for people with reduced mobility.

Casa Granda has a luxurious restaurant, specialising in Creole and international cuisine. Guests can also choose to spend the afternoon at the intimate café-bar on the terrace or in the Roof Garden on the rooftop, where every night a Cuban dance show is held. On the top floor of the Imperial, you will find El Dorado, where guests can savour a refreshing cocktail while admiring the sunset. Close to the hotel, find the St. Pauli, one of the most popular establishments in town, famous for its rice dishes and desserts; as well as Primos Twice, with its Caribbean food.
